(EAHC)

Grants Guidelines

(Revised January 2010)

 

Discretionary Grants:

EAHC may make Discretionary Grants to deserving arts and humanities projects conducted and/or based in Edmond.

 

Local Arts and Humanities Grants:

Local Arts and Humanities Grants are available two times per year to individuals and/or nonprofit organizations within the Edmond area.

 

Requirements for Arts and Humanities Grant Awards:

Individuals or organizations must be based in Edmond (i.e. home or home office located within Edmond zip code)

 

Projects must be conducted in Edmond and/or benefit Edmond citizens.


Grants are available for projects that:
 

Provide training in the Arts and Humanities to individuals of all ages, promote diversity, and/or provide cultural activities, events, and/or public art and humanities events for the benefit of the Edmond community.

 

Proposals must be submitted via email addressed to eahc.edmond@gmail.com with one signed hard copy and support material mailed via U.S. Mail to Edmond Arts and Humanities Council within seven days from the date of email submission.

 

Proposal Description must include:

  1. Name of individual or nonprofit organization responsible for submitting and managing grant
  2. List of officers, board members, etc. if applicable
  3. Contact information for responsible party with name, address, email, and phone number
  4. Mission statement of individual or organization and how proposed project will contribute to the overall mission of the applicant organization or individual
  5. Purpose of the grant with detailed description of activities, beneficiaries, project goals, participant evaluation instruments, and expected dates of completion
  6. Detailed budget, including matching funds and any other sources of funding, if applicable
  7. Date(s), amount(s) and outcome(s) of previous EAHC grants.

Deadlines:

April grant cycle must be emailed before midnight on April 30.
October grant cycle must be emailed before midnight on October 31.


One hard copy of the grant application
along with copies of supporting documents (i.e. non-profit letter, Articles of Incorporation, proof of Edmond residence, etc.) must be posted via U.S. Mail within seven days after the deadline for email submissions.

Applications and supporting documents postmarked and/or emailed after the deadline may be re-submitted for the next grant cycle. 

 

Successful applicants will be notified within 6 weeks after the application deadline.

 

Final reports:

A final report must be submitted to the Edmond Arts and Humanities Council via email to eahc.edmond@gmail.com within 30 days after the completion of the project.

           

Final reports must include:

  1. Full budget report including expenditure of EAHC funds
  2. Benefits to the city of Edmond
  3. Total number of beneficiaries
  4. Total number of beneficiaries residing in Edmond
  5. Outcome of participant evaluations (including copies of results and evaluation form)
  6. Photos of the event (with signed releases for minors)
  7. Other pertinent information
